Research Vessels

Superport Marine Services has been in the oceanographic research business for twenty years using small vessels for near coastal work. In 2001, Superport acquired the ocean-going research vessel, R/V Strait Signet, which is home ported in Port Hawkesbury, Nova Scotia. The R/V Strait Signet has worked from Angola to the Arctic Circle in the past six years.

In 2007, the company aquired a second larger vessel, R/V Strait Explorer, which was converted to a multi-purpose research vessel at Superport Marine's facilities in Port Hawkesbury.
